The Corporal Scott G. Dimond Scholarship Fund, is a non-profit organization formed by the Family and Friends of Scott. The intent is to provide scholarships in Scott's name to a deserving student from both the Franklin High School and Milford High School. The desire is to build a fund where more students could receive scholarships. Franklin is where Scott spent his life and served the City of Franklin as a Police Officer for over 18 years. The Scholarship will be given to students pursuing a career in Public Safety or Nursing.

Army Corporal Scott Dimond of Franklin, N.H., while assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 172nd Infantry Regiment (Mountain), New Hampshire Army National Guard was killed in action on Oct. 13th, 2008 in Kandahar, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device as his patrol was engaged in a small arms fire attack.
